Jeff Arnold and Bobby Fisher open Fisher Arnold at 3205 Players Club Parkway in Memphis, Tennessee offering Civil Engineering including Land Development, Transportation, and Water/Wastewater and Surveying.
Our first employee, Tim Verner, PE is hired on January 1, 1986. Tim leads our Civil Engineering Department and currently serves as Senior Vice President.
Expanding our services offered, we added an Environmental Department that turned out to be a lot more than bugs and bunnies.
Hot on the heels of Environmental (see what we did there?) we added an Electrical Department in 1993, focusing on medium and high voltage design.
In the spirit of collaboration, we added Architecture to our list of services. This has
resulted in over 25 years’ worth of “Engineers who can’t do Math” and “Architects that
can’t Draw” jokes.
We are now working internationally, as we complete our first projects in Canada, Mexico and Panama.
Almost two decades of growth allows the Memphis Office to move into its current
headquarters at 9180 Crestwyn Hills Drive on the edge of Germantown and Collierville, Tennessee.
We open our first Branch Office in sunny Chipley, Florida! Concentrating on transportation engineering for FDOT.
Structural Engineering is added as an offering (the Architects now have someone on at least a similar page to them)!
Our Silver Jubilee – Fisher Arnold turns 25! We are so thankful to our incredible clients, partners and communities for allowing us to serve them for a quarter of a century!
Go west young man! Our footprint expands to include Houston, Texas as we open an office in The Woodlands, focusing primarily on the environmental and telecommunications industries.
Another banner year for expansion as we open locations in both Jonesboro, Arkansas and Nashville, Tennessee, specializing in Civil and Structural Engineering.
MidSouth Utility Consultants merges with Fisher Arnold, increasing our workforce by
20% and strengthening our Electrical Department to one of the largest medium/high
voltage firms in the area.
Fisher Arnold is named largest engineering firm in the MidSouth by the Memphis Business Journal.
Growing our Environmental presence in the Midwest, we open our Indianapolis Office
Confirming something we have known all along, the Memphis Business Journal names
Fisher Arnold a finalist in the Best Places to Work Awards for a second year running.
