We were contracted to design a new $2.07m 500,000-gallon pedesphere elevated water tank for the City of Bartlett, Tennessee. Design challenges included placement of the tank on a sensitive site, a piping plan to tie the tank into a water main across four active lanes of traffic, and telemetry to have the tank controlled remotely from Bartlett’s water plant. In addition to the tank, the project included control improvements and an automated valve to an existing tank on the same pressure plane, site improvements, valve vaults, electrical design, and SCADA integration.
