Fisher Arnold was tasked with extending the 69kV transmission loop to include the new South Substation and upgrading the conductor along the entire transmission loop throughout the System. The 2-mile loop extension to the new substation included two major road crossings and a Sikeston 13kV distribution underbuilt along with a third-party distribution line. The entire Sikeston system is encircled with a 20-mile 69kV loop of varies wire sizes. Due to growth and a need for better reliability, Fisher Arnold upgraded the loop to 795 ACSS conductor. The upgrade included pole verifications and span length determinations. Fisher Arnold’s Scope of Work included design, specification development, bidding, permitting and construction management.
