Fisher Arnold was tasked with providing a system analysis of their existing substation capacity and reliability. To alleviate an overloaded System, the first step was to assist in selection of a 22-acre property and construction of a (2) two 30MVA transformer Substation. The station consisted of a single TVA delivery, 161KV circuit switchers, transformers, TVA metering, distribution breakers, feeder regulation and control house. Fisher Arnold’s scope of work consisted of TVA scoping, site design and grading, station design, relay control scheme development, equipment and construction specification development, bidding and contract execution, construction management, commissioning, record documentation and contract closeouts. This is the first of many upgrades Fisher Arnold will be assisting Arab Electric for the upcoming future.
