We are searching for a Project Engineer for our office in Franklin (Nashville), TN to support our Land Development Department. The Project Engineer will be responsible for performing engineering design and plans production on land development and stormwater engineering
projects. The specific design and plans production tasks will include site layout, grading and drainage, stormwater detention, erosion prevention and sediment control, sanitary sewer collection, water distribution, traffic control, roadway and other site development related
aspects. The Project Engineer should be able to perform many of these tasks independently with limited supervison, but will be working under the direction of the Director of Land Development or a Senior Project Manager. Experience with stormwater specific tasks such as CLOMR/LOMR applications, stormwater infrastructure design, open channel modeling with HEC-RAS, hydrologic modeling, and drainage analyses is a plus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform design related to land development projects consisting of single-family residential developments, multi-family residential developments, commercial sites, industrial sites, institutional sites, and mixed-use developments, including, but not limited to site layout, grading and drainage, EPSC, sanitary sewer collection, water distribution, traffic control, and roadways
• Produce construction plans for land development projects and work with team to obtain approvals from jurisdictional agencies
• Perform hydrologic/hydraulic analysis for the design and construction plan production for site development, stormwater infrastructure improvements, transportation and other projects involving complex drainage analysis and/or design
• Drainage design including, but not limited to, stormwater conveyance systems, detention/retention facilities, water quality systems, open channel improvements, grade control structures, bridge scour protection, and channel bank stabilization
• Coordination of efforts of assigned design team to ensure completeness and accuracy of design effort for land development and stormwater related aspects
• Development of technical report writing and technical specifications for construction projects
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
• Active Tennessee PE license (or able to obtain by reciprocity) preferred, but not required
• Passed Fundamentals Exam (FE) is a plus
• Minimum of 2-3 years of independent, responsible experience in performing land development design and plans production
• Must be proficient in the utilization of Autodesk Civil3D CAD
• A plus if proficient in hydrologic/hydraulic software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM and Civil3D SSA
• Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel and Word)
• Strong attention to detail
