The Electrical Designer position will entail the development of electrical construction packages along with all subsequent support documentation. Work will not be limited to, but will include single line drawings, motor schematics, equipment and conduit layouts, as well as any interlock details. The individual should be able to perform field walk downs and verify work prior to design and participate and lead all levels of drawing package reviews. Drawings will be developed utilizing AutoCad.
This position will also interface with the client’s team to support design efforts at a refinery. Work will include assisting with locating reference drawings, ensuring submitted packages meet the customers’ design requirements and ensuring proper submission of final deliverables.

• Ensure that the design and execution of their respective projects introduces only acceptable risk to the refinery.

• If applicable, work with the environmental engineering group on all projects to ensure that all applicable rules and policies are met.

• Actively encourage participation of refinery reliability engineers in the design and quality check processes to ensure good reliable design.

• Maintain a high level of personal productivity. Be able to define and maintain personal metrics in regard to deliverables to project management and end users.
Work Quality:
• Provide continuous review of project designs and actively encourage project team members to review design packages throughout the whole design process to ensure the best engineering practices related to quality are maintained.

• Provide accurate and timely communication with respect to project management and team members
QUALIFICATIONS
• At least 8-10 years with a minimum of 3 in a refinery or heavy industrial plant environment.
• Candidate must be proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
• Candidate must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Candidate should be highly motivated and work well with other disciplines
