Shelby County, Tennessee
Fisher & Arnold conducted numerous Phase I Environmental Site Assessments in accordance with ASTM Standards. Growth in Shelby County has trended toward property development in the vicinity of historical industrial areas. In addition to developing historical information on any given site, detailed review of off-site industrial issues has been required. Fisher & Arnold has accurately researched and appropriately described potential off-site environmental threats to undeveloped property.

In particular, Fisher & Arnold recently conducted Phase II subsurface sampling activity in response to a Superfund site near a proposed apartment development. Due to a concern that future lenders or prospective buyers could require more detailed information, the Phase II report was presented to the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) for review. The report was approved by TDEC as requiring no further action. The state program focuses on clarifying "gray area" properties as it relates to the potential for future regulatory actions.
