• Ensures timely and efficient completion of detailed engineering projects to achieve company cost and customer service objectives.
• Maintains technical responsibility for design planning, organizing, and conducting technical projects or phases of projects involving design and development of new or improved products and/or processes.
• Prepares and reviews technical projects and work prepared by others, including system schematics, layouts, sketches, procedures and reports, by the application of advanced engineering principles and detailed experience.
• Ensures projects meet schedule, cost results, and technical expectations.
• Examples of types of work performed by employees assigned to this job classification include substation design, safety procedures, arc flash modeling and analysis, and more.
Requirements and Skills
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited 4 year degree program.
• Ability to apply and integrate knowledge of engineering theories, principles, techniques, regulations, and policies.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers and top management to present project status and gain confidence in overall support of customer projects.
• Ability to exercise judgment within practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
• Ability to accomplish objectives to complete projects and provide status to the team at project milestones.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and manage multiple tasks at once.
• Ability to work cooperatively and professionally with others and members of the public.
